What is Microdosing?
Microdosing is the practice of taking a sub-perceptual amount of plant medicine, on a regular and consistent schedule. The doses are so small that they do not produce noticeable or significant alterations in perception, cognition, or behavior. Instead, they work subtly on a physiological and psychological level.

This intentional practice aims to enhance various aspects of daily life without the intense experiences often associated with higher doses. Individuals who microdose often report a range of benefits, including:

Improved Mood and Emotional Well-Being: Regular microdosing may contribute to a more positive outlook and a reduction in symptoms of anxiety or depression.

Enhanced Creativity and Problem-Solving: Many people find that microdosing helps unlock new levels of creativity and improves their ability to think in a more expansive manner.

Increased Focus and Productivity: Some report heightened concentration and greater efficiency in their tasks and projects.

Greater Self-Awareness and Personal Insight: Microdosing can aid in uncovering and addressing underlying emotional or psychological patterns that impact one's daily life.

Enhanced Interpersonal Connections: Improved empathy and communication, leading to deeper and more meaningful relationships.

We all want to feel good, experience deep and rewarding connections with the people we care about, and make grounded decisions from a place of clarity, but it can often feel hard for us to access the tools necessary to do so consistently in the face of modern-day stress.

Plant medicine has the potential to create a more spacious mental and emotional landscape, providing fresh perspectives on our circumstances and opening the door to new possibilities.

What is integration and why is it so important?Integration, in the context of working with plant medicines, refers to the process of assimilating, understanding, and applying the insights, experiences, and lessons gained from the use of the plant medicine into one's daily life. Plant medicine can be deeply transformative and profound, and integration is the vital step that follows to ensure the experiences are incorporated meaningfully and sustainably.

Can I keep working with you after the 5 weeks?Absolutely. Many people choose to continue working with me beyond the initial microdosing journey — whether they’re still microdosing or not. If you’re no longer working with the medicine, we often continue with integration-focused coaching, and somatic work. Ongoing sessions and packages are always tailored to you and your unique process — we shape the work based on what support you need most.
-
I am already working with a psychotherapist, can I still work with you?Absolutely. Working with me is not a replacement for the work you do with your doctor or therapist, but rather a complement to it. I encourage anyone currently on an SSRI or weaning off of SSRI medication to work closely with their doctor to ensure safety in achieving the intended outcome.
-
Do you offer sliding scale pricing and/or payment plans?Yes, it is important to me that this work is inclusive and accessible. I have 2 spots for sliding scale clients. If you are interested in this work but have financial constraints, let's discuss if this option can work for you. I also offer a monthly payment plan at no additional cost.

Ive been hearing about medical trials using plant medicine to treat various mental disorders. How can I learn more?As someone who suffered from treatment resistant depression and anxiety for decades, I’m thrilled that we are now considering alternative therapies to provide support and relief to those suffering with mental illness. Today, I view this work through a more sacred or spiritual lens. These medicines have been used in shamanic cultures for thousands of years and possess a unique wisdom and consciousness that has the capacity to help us access incredible insights about ourselves we may not have otherwise realized. What is Internal Family Systems?IFS is a therapeutic approach developed by Richard C. Schwartz, a family therapist. It's a type of psychotherapy that focuses on understanding and healing the various "parts" of an individual's personality. The central idea behind IFS is that the human mind is made up of different "parts," each with its own feelings, beliefs, and functions. For this reason, you will sometimes hear IFS referred to as "Parts Work."

What is shadow work?Shadow work refers to the process of exploring and addressing the unconscious and hidden aspects of one's personality, emotions, and beliefs. It's a psychological and spiritual practice aimed at gaining self-awareness by confronting the parts of ourselves that we often avoid, deny, or repress. The term "shadow" was popularized by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, who used it to describe the hidden and often darker aspects of the self that are not fully integrated into our conscious awareness. Overall, shadow work is a process of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-growth. It encourages individuals to embrace their complexity and move towards greater wholeness by integrating both the light and the shadow aspects of their being.

I've never done somatic work before, what does it entail? The word "somatic" is derived from the Greek word "soma," which means "body." Somatic therapy refers to a method of addressing and resolving trauma or stress by starting with the body's physical sensations and responses rather than focusing solely on cognitive or psychological aspects. You may hear this referred to as "bottom-up" processing vs. "top-down" processing that we experience in traditional cognitive behavioral therapy settings. Polyvagal theory, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, is a foundational element in somatic work. It is a neurobiological framework that helps us understand the connection between our autonomic nervous system, social engagement, emotional regulation, and responses to stress and trauma. It provides insights into how our body's nervous system responds to different situations and influences our behavior, emotions, and overall well-being.
